Winning Ways

I am currently reading this book from Authentic which is based round a brilliant story of a pastor and evangelist on retreat in the Canadian woods log cabin at night. Get the book to read the story! Sufficient to say Philip Jinadu and David Lawrence do a agood job is helping all evangelists and pastors explore winning ways by creating a an evangelising church and leadership.

Publicity in the Local Church

The latest book int he evangelism series of Grove books takes a good look at publicity in the local church and how the congregation can make good use of all the readilly available resources in promoting and presenting itself. Realistic, optimistic and very practical for every group not just congregation. It is number Ev 80 on:

Online Church?

Mark Howe has written the latest Grove book in the pastoral series called Online Church: First Steps Towards Virtual Incarnation. It is an excellent overview of the subject ... from the progarammer behind St Pixels. He explores all the missional, theological and practical aspects of the virtual church. Very timely as this subject is one of priorities GfE wishes to explore in 2008.

Global Day of Prayer London launch

I was pleased to be present at the start of the launch for the London Global day of Prayer at Westminster Chapel on Friday night when Jonothan Oloyede, a member of GfE, inspired the congregation to gather on Pentecost Sunday 2008 and make for 30,000 people praying at Millwall Stadium as part of the Global day of Prayer initiative and the Pentecost Festival in the capital.
