Migration Enquiry

Mark Fisher (CTE) and Andy Bruce (CTBI) are asking all Christians to inform them and the wider church of issues around migration in the UK. One of the sections is about evangelisation which I shall pick and reflect upon. If you have any information, and especially stories of new congregations or mission agencies working with 'new communities' please send us the information via:

Website: Serving Refugees

David Spriggs has passed on the link to this new website 'Enabling Christians for Serving Refugees'. Migration is a huge missiological issue at the moment and this website covers a great deal of ground in providing information and advice for the network.

Jesus in my language

Geoff Knott from Wycliffe UK has sent out a press release about a new resource which puts passages from the Gospel of Mark in to many different languages for people to read in their own heart language. The resource is part of the 2025 project in which Wyclifffe is a partner, aiming to provide a Bible translation start for every language in the world by 2025. The new resource here lists short passages of the Gospel in 70 languages. More will be added as the months go by on to:

Baptist: Migration Challenge and Opportunity

The Baptist Union of Great Britain has produced a download resource in the File Directory on Migration as a Challenge and Opportunity. Particularly applicable to Baptist churches because of the research which has gone in to it, this is aplicable for other churches too. It can be read alongside the booklet 'Migration Principles': a Statement for Churches working on Migration Issues (www.ctbi.org.uk).
