Bible confused with Geldof

A quarter of people in Britain confuse the Bible with speeches by Sir Bob Geldof, according to new research published by Theos. In the ComRes poll, designed to examine social attitudes and perceptions of the Bible, 27% of people questioned wrongly believed that the statement "You must defend those who are helpless and have no hope. Be fair and give justice to the poor and homeless" (Proverbs Chapter 31, verse 8) came from a speech by the singer, songwriter and activist Bob Geldof. The findings of the Theos research have been released to coincide with the launch of a new Poverty and Justice Bible by Bible Society. Full report on:

Christianophobia debate

The BBC have reported that Parliament is to debate 'Christianophobia' tomorrow. It has already sparked debate about whether the church in the public square is over or under represented, against a backdrop of whether the Christian faith is being marginalised in society, as evidenced by schools not holding nativity plays on the Christmas story.
