Freshers find Freshspace

Krish Kandiah from the Evangelical Alliance has just written a book helping 'freshers' at university and college live the Christian life when first away from home. It also helps students with evangelism. He has put together a website to go with it which tells you more on:

Fusion: new students link up to churches

Fusion is a mission agency which aims, among many other things, to link up new students with local churches, especially at the start of a new academic year. Fusion has an extensive network of contacts, and local churches can put links on to their website for students to know how they can link in to the scheme, both for their own young people leaving home, and for new students who may be moving in to the area.

Details of the scheme are on:

love your Uni: initiative of Fusion

'Love Your Uni' is a new mission initiative of Fusion: resourcing and inspiring students to love their universities. This is the challenge:

Wanted. Students to love their uni. Students who are missional, biblical, relational, catalytic and inclusive. Students who will live beyond themselves, in the culture, with clean hearts and dirty hands. Students who will give beyond themselves, building community and organising parties. Students who will love beyond themselves, dealing grace to broken lives and lonely hearts. For Christ's sake, will you love your uni?

All details of their new mission initiative can be found on www.loveyouruni.org.

UCCF Apologetics 'Is God a Delusion?' DVD's

William Lane Craig took part in four high profile debates in 2007 hosted by UCCF. Over 2000 people heard his debate in London with atheist Lewis Wolpert, entitled "Is God a Delusion?"

Chaired by BBC's John Humphrys, an informal 'studio' discussion followed on. In Sheffield University, he debated the Resurrection of Christ, while in Bristol he debated with a philosopher on the existence of the Christian God.

Quality DVDs of these excellent debates can now be ordered through UCCF's www.bethinking.org website for £9-99 each (inc.p&p). All DVDs have menus and are excellent for gifts, groups, personal study, and lending out to people wanting to engage with the 'Delusion' debate.
