ReJesus and new partnership with Church Army

The website ReJesus is a resource for all the churches and comes at the top of a Google search for 'Jesus'. At the AGM of ReJesus yesterday, and following detailed discussion with Church Army, a new partnership has been agreed. Church Army wil provide some fresh impetus and additional resources to support the next phase of developing this major evangelistic tool. Relevant quotes are on:

Holy Week 'reflective journey' from Lifewords

SGM Lifewords are running an online reflective journey through Holy Week, using animation, music, and spoken word. Subscribers will receive an email with a link to the day's content, and we will post a new animation for each day leading up to Easter. The artwork has been done by the Sparks art collective, and offers an abstract, striking visual interpretation of the last week of Jesus' life. The series begins on Monday 17th of March, with an invitation to 'Lay down your cloak'.

Online Church?

Mark Howe has written the latest Grove book in the pastoral series called Online Church: First Steps Towards Virtual Incarnation. It is an excellent overview of the subject ... from the progarammer behind St Pixels. He explores all the missional, theological and practical aspects of the virtual church. Very timely as this subject is one of priorities GfE wishes to explore in 2008.

Use of the Internet in Mission

Richard Bromley from Youth for Christ has pointed me to several study papers, including his on the Use of the Internet in Mission. We shall be pleased to present web links for various study papers like this on EvangelismUK, and will do so one at a time so they can be found under the relevant subject in a search of the archive catagories. This one is under Virtual Church, but you will see others too on:

New 'online church' open for visitors

Church on the Net is a new online ‘church’ for people who have no existing contact with God or church, but are looking for answers to spiritual questions. The community section has blogs and message boards; the reference section has articles such as Who is God? What is sin? Why go to church? What about suffering?; and the article of the week offers further teaching and some challenges. Articles all conclude with a short prayer plus ways for the reader to ‘go deeper’ on the subject – with links to further reading, websites, art, music, video clips, books, poetry and more.
